First photographic evidence of the Chinese Pangolin Manis pentadactyla (Linnaeus, 1758) in Raimona National Park, Assam, India

The first photographic evidence of the ‘Critically Endangered’ Chinese Pangolin Manis pentadactyla in the Raimona National Park (RNP), Assam is presented. Three independent photo-captures of Chinese Pangolin were recorded, two on 30 January 2022 at 1213 h and 0239 h, and on 28 February 2022 at 0412 h at the Ranganadi area, at an elevation of 166 m, located in the western range (Raimona) of RNP, Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR), Assam. The photographs were obtained during the annual camera trapping surveys conducted between 12 November 2021 and 19 May 2022.
