Ceylon Kentish Plover Charadrius alexandrinus seebohmi breeding in Vani Vilasa Sagara, Hiriyur Taluka, Karnataka, India

Abstract
We report the breeding of the Ceylon Kentish Plover Charadrius alexandrinus seebohmi in Vani Vilasa Sagara, Hiriyur Taluka in the state of Karnataka, India. This is the first breeding record of the sub-species from Karnataka and this shows a lack of ornithological explorations in the wetlands of central Karnataka.Â
