Abstract

A Royle’s Pika (Ochotona roylei) was observed during a biodiversity survey in Kishtwar, Jammu and Kashmir, confirming its presence in the region. This sighting underscores the ecological importance of understudied Himalayan habitats and highlights the need for further research on the species’ distribution, conservation status, and response to climate change.
