Abstract

Embelia ribes Burm.f. (Primulaceae) is well known for its medicinal properties in various systems of Indian medicine. The culinary applications of the leaves from Manipur could be the first recorded gastronomic use of the species in India. Future nutritional studies and conservation measures are of immense need to ensure the promotion and sustainable use of this species.
