Boesenbergia tiliifolia (Baker) Kuntze (Zingiberaceae) - a new record for Maharashtra, India

Boesenbergia tiliifolia (Zingiberaceae), an Indian endemic species, is reported here as a new record for Maharashtra based on its recent collection from the Sindhudurg District. This species has previously been recorded in the Andaman Islands, Assam, Karnataka, Kerala, Meghalaya, and Tamil Nadu. A detailed description of the plant, illustrated with photographs, is provided to facilitate accurate identification of the species.
