Notes on the extended distribution of Ceropegia gardneri Thwaites and other rare species of Ceropegia from southern Western Ghats, India

The extended distributional record of a threatened species of Ceropegia namely Ceropegia gardneri from Kerala is provided. This species exhibits a narrow range of distribution along the Western Ghats and in Sri Lanka. Details of four other rare species of Ceropegia are also given. Notes on taxonomy, phenology, distribution and conservation status are also provided for the better understanding of the species.
