Potential first record of parrotfish Scarus zufar (Randall & Hoover, 1995) (Actinopterygii: Labriformes: Scaridae) from Indian waters, at Netrani Island, Karnataka, India
Main Article Content
Abstract
This note provides the first record of a species very similar to the Parrotfish Scarus zufar (Randall & Hoover, 1995) from India at Netrani Island, Karnataka, in March and April 2023 during SCUBA surveys. This record is the first between two seemingly disjointed observations in Pakistan and Bangladesh and highlights the importance of surveys along India’s western coast reefs.
