Abstract

The Orange-breasted Green-pigeon is a non-migratory frugivorous bird species from the family Columbidae. It is distributed in India, Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and south-east Asian countries. In this paper, we report the first sighting record of the Orange-breasted Green-pigeon Treron bicinctus from Chittaranjan, West Bengal, India with photographic evidence.
