New site record of Ichthyophis kodaguensis Wilkinson et al., 2007 (Amphibia: Ichthyophiidae) in the Western Ghats, India

Abstract

In Western Ghats, caecilian diversity is known by 23 species with the latest inclusion of Ichthyophis kodaguensis Wilkinson et al., from Coorg in 2007. Subsequently another new site was recorded 30km north of type locality. In the present paper the species was recorded from one more new locality further 125km north of type locality and two more specimens are added to the National Depository of Zoological Survey of India, WGRC, Calicut.
