Abstract

Copper-headed Trinket Snake Coelognathus radiatus (Boie, 1827) is a large and slender Snake. Despite its large size, aggressive nature and vast range of distribution, it is known only from few localities in India. Recent biodiversity surveys revealed sightings of this species from the Ananthagiri coffee plantations. We report the first record of Coelognathus radiatus from Ananthagiri Hills, northern part of Eastern Ghats, Andhra Pradesh, India.
