Abstract

Ipomoea rubens Choisy (Convolvulaceae) is a species originally described from India and native to the Old World.  It was hitherto recorded in India only from the states of Assam and the northern part of West Bengal but is now reported for the first time from the coast of Andhra Pradesh.  A detailed description, photographs and notes are provided.
