First report of powdery mildew caused by Golovinomyces sp. (Euoidium sp.) on the exotic ornamental plant Solidago canadensis (Asterales: Asteraceae) in India

Abstract

In September 2013, leaves of Solidagocanadensis with typical symptoms of powdery mildew were collected in the Botanical Garden of Yashvantrao Chavan Institute of Science, Satara (M.S), India. The pathogen was identified as Euoidiumanamoph of Golovinomyces. This is the first report of powdery mildew on S. canadensis in India.
