First record of Thelyphonus sepiaris (Butler 1873) (Uropygi: Thelyphonidae) from Andhra Pradesh, India

Abstract

During the preparation of an arachnid faunal inventory of Nallamalai Hills and Papikonda Hills of Eastern Ghats and Eturnagaram Wildlife Sanctuary, Andhra Pradesh, three mature male specimens of whip-scorpions were collected and identified as Thelyphonus sepiaris (Butler 1873). The species is being recorded here for the first time from Andhra Pradesh, India.
