to Jottings!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Documentation, observations, scientific research, videography, communications are some of the sources of understanding the status of wildlife around the world.\u00a0 The <strong>Journal of Threatened Taxa<\/strong> (<strong>JoTT<\/strong>) celebrates the completion of over 200 issues of uninterrupted (well &#8230; almost) monthly publication of scientific research since the first peer-reviewed pull out of <strong>Zoo&#8217;s Print Journal<\/strong> commenced in April 1999.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>JoTT<\/strong>&#8216;s scientific outputs are complimented by <strong>Zoo&#8217;s Print<\/strong>, which is the monthly science communication platform. \u00a0Yet, there is so much to share and with the growing interest in wildlife, and a growing readership in <strong>JoTT<\/strong>, we decided to have <strong>Jottings<\/strong> as a means of communicating what&#8217;s happening in JoTT as well as outside.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It gives me great pleasure to introduce the <strong>School of Science<\/strong>, a group of 17-19-year-olds from Coimbatore who have taken on communicating science in their free time. \u00a0We at <strong>JoTT<\/strong>, <strong>ZOO<\/strong>, and <strong>WILD<\/strong> are proud to have them on board as volunteers. \u00a0Here&#8217;s their first communication of the recently newly described burrowing frog from western India.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.threatenedtaxa.org\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/ZOO-Infographic-3.jpg\" alt=\"ashchima Infographic 30Jun17\" width=\"556\" height=\"2039\"
